July 4th Parade. Join other Friends of the Ashland Library and march with us in the Parade. Wear a costume of a
favorite book character or just walk alongside and help us be a lively presence in this fun
parade. 774-6987 for more info.
Friday, July 9th, 6:00 pm at Bookwagon. Bill Cameron, is the author of dark gritty, Portland
based mysteries. Cameron will discuss his new books, Day One and First Thrills.
Wednesday, July 7 - 7:00-8:00 pm John Flynn, retired Peace Corps volunteer will speak on
Mongolian slave trafficking and the ngo he works for fighting this.
July 14 - Jan Wright presents Jackson County Love Story: Welborn Beeson's Diary
August 11 - Alice Mullaly speaks on Rogue Valley 19th Century Farm Life: First Person Narratives

Elastic Mind Book Discussion Group
The Friends
of the Library are sponsoring The Elastic Mind: an Open Book Discussion group.
Everyone is welcome. The group led by
Joanna Fenn discuss many different books and subjects. Meetings are held
on the first Thursday of the month from 1:00 - 2:30 in the Guanajuato
Meeting Room at the library.

The Oregon Encyclopedia
Project.
The Oregon Encyclopedia is an exciting new way for Oregonians to learn about all things
Oregon, from the expected to the unexpected. All Oregonians are invited to participate
by suggesting entries, writing submissions, and attending public meetings.
Representatives from the Oregon Encyclopedia Project are traveling the state to gather
information through community meetings. For more information contact the Medford Branch
